Was It Casual
🫧 My own spiral

I need reassurance and I hate that I do

What it usually means

Needing reassurance is not a character flaw, it's a need, and needs are only a problem when they can't be spoken. The thing that actually damages relationships isn't asking for reassurance — it's needing it and extracting it sideways for months instead.

What it doesn't mean

You are not too much. Asking clearly once is a hundred times lighter than needing it constantly and never saying so.

The one tell

If you can say it in one plain sentence without a preamble apologising for it, it isn't too much.

What you could send

Secure

“i'm feeling a bit unsure this week — could you tell me where we're at?”

Playful · Direct

“reassurance top-up requested 🥺 no explanation available”

“i need to hear that you're in this. can you tell me that?”
